Specialist services - Bedhead services (SHTM 2015 and SHTM 08-03 ARCHIVED)

This Scottish Health Technical Memorandum focuses on:

• the legal, mandatory and functional requirements of bedhead services for in-patient accommodation;
• the design, installation, maintenance and operation of electrical services, communications, medical gases (terminal units), lighting and other patient care services required at the bedhead and at other in Patient locations in all types of healthcare premises;
• some design applications. It is applicable to new and existing sites and is for use at various stages during inception, design, construction, refurbishment and maintenance of a building.
