Safety Information Message – SIM2501(U)

This Safety Information Message is issued as an update to SIM2501. The risk has been changed from, “high risk of fire” to “risk of minor burns.” The table of affected models and barcodes has also been updated. The UK Government’s Office for Product Safety & Standards (OPSS) has produced a Product Safety Report for MK Electric MK Essentials Electrical Three Pin Sockets with Switches. Affected sockets present a risk of minor burns and do not meet the requirements of the Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016 or the Plugs and Sockets (Safety) Regulations 1994. The products have been withdrawn from the market.
