This alert builds upon and extends the scope of Medical Device Alert MDA/2010/002, All types of bed mattresses, which was issued in January 2010. The scope is now extended to cover trolley mattresses and the actions have been revised in line with current recommended practice. The scope of this alert is limited to foam mattresses.
