Response
I refer to your freedom of information request that we received on 30 September 2024. We have now completed the search of our records and can provide you with the following information:
1. Please can you provide the product names with start and finish dates of all your agreed primary care rebates (for medical devices & pharmaceuticals)?
Please find attached Appendix 1 – PCRS Register, detailing our agreed primary care rebates.
2. Please can you advise if any of your agreed rebates are conditional on achieving increased volumes/ market shares?
Please find attached Appendix 2 – PCRS Assessment Process Overview, specifically Page 4 – Appendix 1 part 7; “Volume based schemes will not be considered” detailing the requested information.
3. Please can you outline the process of how you review and evaluate the rebates presented to you?
See Appendix 2 – PCRS Assessment Process Overview above, detailing our assessment process for rebates.
4. Can you please explain if each rebate agreed is available to all Health Boards?
For PCRS rebates there is a “Once for Scotland” approach. All primary care schemes are available to all health boards within NHS Scotland.
5. Please can you also provide a copy of your rebate policy for NSS?
Please find attached Appendix 3 – PCRS Scotland Standard Terms, detailing our most up to date primary care rebate policy.
