I would like to request the following under the terms of the Freedom of Information Act 2002.

-The current supplier for disposable nappies to NHS boards in Scotland

-A list of all previous suppliers for disposable nappies to NHS Boards in Scotland from 1 January 2018

-Information on whether NHS Boards in Scotland have ever tendered for a contract to supply reusable nappies from suppliers in Scotland

I refer to your freedom of information request that we received on 10 October 2023 requesting the following information:

I would like to request the following under the terms of the Freedom of Information Act 2002.

-The current supplier for disposable nappies to NHS boards in Scotland.

-A list of all previous suppliers for disposable nappies to NHS Boards in Scotland from 1 January 2018.

-Information on whether NHS Boards in Scotland have ever tendered for a contract to supply reusable nappies from suppliers in Scotland.

I can advise you that we have now completed the search of our records and can provide you with the following information:

1. The current supplier for disposable nappies to NHS boards in Scotland.

The current supplier for disposable nappies is Ontex Healthcare UK Ltd.

2. A list of all previous suppliers for disposable nappies to NHS Boards in Scotland from 1 January 2018.

The previous supplier for disposable nappies was Ontex Healthcare UK Ltd.

3. Information on whether NHS Boards in Scotland have ever tendered for a contract to supply reusable nappies from suppliers in Scotland.

The new framework started on 01 September 2023, which has a “Lot” for Washable products for Children. The suitability of these in comparison to using a single use product, would be assessed by the relevant clinical staff in each health board.
