I would like to submit an FOI request for the following coagulation factors product:
- How many patients did you treat with Bypassing agents (BPA)/Hemlibra inhibitor in Q3’23 (July, August, September 2023)?
a. With BPA/Hemlibra Inhibitor?
Please fill in the BPA/Hemlibra products utilized in July, August, and September 2023.
How many minor and major surgeries did your BPA patients have in July, August, and September 2023?
How many minor and major surgeries did your BPA/Hemlibra inhibitor patients have in July, August, and September 2023?
How many breakthrough bleeds did your Hemlibra Inhibitor patients have, and what brand were they treated with?
Were there any changes in the total number of acute bleeds treated with factor in Q3’23 as compared to Q2’23?
Was there any change in the number of elective surgeries using factor in Q3’23 as compared to Q2’23?
Have any BPA patients switched products between July 1st through September 30th 2023? What were the reasons for the switches?
What is the total number of patients treated with NovoSeven at your NHS Scotland?

I can advise you that we have now completed the search of our records and can provide you with the following information:
What we can provide you with is Appendix 1 - Units delivered to Homecare & Pharmacy, which shows the medicines (Hemblibra/Emicizumab and Novoseven) that have been delivered to Homecare patients and pharmacies. The data is for period 2022-23. We do not hold any data prior to this period as it is obtained on an ad hoc basis.
Attached is Appendix 2 – Framework NP30119 Homecare deliveries which details data from our NP30119 Homecare Clotting Factors framework agreement on units issued to homecare patients (not necessarily utilised) broken down by month. No units have been identified in the dataset for Novoseven for the periods requested.
