Can you advise me the names and the manufacturers of all the flu vaccines being offered to people in Scotland this year?

I require this information to know whether to have the vaccine or not.

I refer to your freedom of information request that we received on 31 August 2022 requesting the following information.

Can you advise me the names and the manufacturers of all the flu vaccines being offered to people in Scotland this year?

I require this information to know whether to have the vaccine or not.

I can advise you that we have now completed the search of our records and can provide you with the following information:

Vaccines for the 2022/23 NHSScotland Flu Programme and the age ranges they cover are:

  • Over-65s - Adjuvanted Quadrivalent Influenza Vaccine, manufactured by Seqirus UK Limited
  • 18-64s (and children 2-17 contraindicated to Live Attenuated Influenza Vaccine) - Cell-based Quadrivalent Influenza Vaccines, manufactured by Seqirus UK Limited
  • 2-17s - Live Attenuated Influenza Vaccine (Fluenz Tetra®), manufactured by Astra Zeneca
  • 6mth - 2yr - Egg-based Quadrivalent Influenza Vaccines, manufactured by Sanofi
