I was just wondering if you could send the following information for NHS Scotland:

  • How many vehicles do you currently have?
  • How many accidents do you find these vehicles find themselves in?
  • Who deals with the current technology associated to the vehicles?

I refer to your freedom of information request that we received on 05 August 2022. I can advise you that we have now completed the search of our records and can provide you with the following information:

I was just wondering if you could send the following information for NHS Scotland:

How many vehicles do you currently have?

NHS National Services Scotland (NSS) has completed a search of our records and can advise that NHS Scotland currently has circa 6k vehicles.

How many accidents do you find these vehicles find themselves in?

NHS Scotland currently has a claims volume of circa 1.2k per annum.

Who deals with the current technology associated to the vehicles?

NHS Scotland vehicle telematics contract is currently provided by ‘Questar Auto’ which is a brand of the parent company, EDC systems. This framework agreement expires on 26 February 2023. Please see the following link to the public contract – View Contract - Public Contracts Scotland.

Please note, NSS is aware that the notice on Public Contracts Scotland (PCS) currently shows incorrect dates and shows as expired. NSS can confirm that this agreement is a five year framework and that we are working to fix the dates that are showing on PCS to reflect the true dates given in this response and on the agreement.
