Adam Watson

Adam qualified as a solicitor in 2009 following a traineeship undertaken in private practice. Prior to that, he had taught English abroad and worked in the European Parliament.

Following qualification, Adam gained experience as an employment lawyer working in a large commercial firm in Edinburgh. During this time, he:

• had a secondment with a Trade Union, giving experience of representing Claimants in the Employment Tribunal,
• co-edited the 20th edition of an important publication concerning Employment Tribunal Practice in Scotland, and
• gained a Masters in Human Resource Management.

Adam joined the Employment department of the CLO in 2016. He provides advice and training on all aspects of employment law, and represents Boards in the Employment Tribunal.

Adam became Team Leader for Team B in 2024.
