Asset management services
Published on 12 May 2021
We offer asset management services for health boards in Scotland. These include an annual property appraisal programme, online tools, training and guidance information.
Find information on these services and how to access them below.
Property appraisal programme
We manage an annual survey programme to help boards assess and manage the condition of their estates.
Survey data provides information on backlog maintenance and life-cycle costs. This supports boards with decision-making on maintenance and life-cycle replacement strategies.
The collection of estate asset information is required by the Scottish Government.
Online tools
Estates Asset Management System
The Estates Asset Management System (EAMS) holds estate asset information collected by surveys.
This includes things like:
- property details
- property condition
- backlog costs
- life-cycle data
- space utilisation
- functional suitability
- quality
Boards can use this data for strategic planning and allocating budgets.
Capital Planning System
The Capital Planning System (CPS) allows boards to analyse survey data in EAMS. The CPS uses a measure called the Facility Condition Index (FCI) which puts backlog costs into context.
Training
We offer training throughout the year to support estates and capital planning teams.
